WOW! My pictures are in British Vogue!

Last September, I had the pleasure of photographing Fi and Rachel's incredible wedding on their family farm in Hertfordshire. And now, their wedding has been featured in British Vogue! It’s an absolute honour to see my work showcased in such an iconic publication.

A Dreamlike Wedding Day

Rachel perfectly described their wedding as “dreamlike”—a midsummer mirage that rose from the earth for one fleeting night of love, chaos, and revelry. Their wedding was a true celebration of creativity and individuality, packed with personal touches and unforgettable moments.

The couple married at Rachel's PIL’s house, walking down a white vinyl aisle straight out of Graceland. Guests gorged on fruit from the orchard and enjoyed the largest Dodgems they could find. They braved freezing Mr Whippys and colourful slushies, adding playful and nostalgic vibes to the day.

To create a relaxed and eclectic atmosphere, they designed quirky “chill out areas” filled with thrifted lip sofas, silver wings, and other unexpected surprises. Rachel’s wife flew in the Europop band LOTTO, while FLWR GRL transformed the space into a fever-dream of floral beauty.

From one sister singing their first dance song to the other designing their own “gay bar,” the day was a family affair. Their niece created a showstopping cake explosion, and their cousin tailored their dog his own Fursace suit. It was a wedding like no other—perfectly chaotic and brimming with love.

The Wedding Look: Vintage Glam with a Personal Touch

Rachel wore a simple yet beautifully made white satin dress by Watters, featuring a corseted top, an open back, and a draped skirt. She paired it with a lace veil embroidered with a sacred heart, crafted by nuns, and stunning giant pink velvet heels—a bold and playful choice.

Their dress-hunting adventure was as memorable as the wedding itself. Initially, they struggled to find the right fit at Kingston’s Oxfam Bridal shop (which, sadly, is now closed). On their way to a pub, they stumbled upon the shop again, only to realise the bridal section was upstairs. With minutes to spare, they rushed in and found the one—the very last bridal sale before the shop closed for good.

Choosing Second-hand: Style with Sustainability

For Rachel, going second-hand was a conscious and meaningful choice. Beyond the financial and environmental benefits, it was also about breaking free from the traditional wedding dress shopping experience.

Trying on vintage dresses with a pint in hand turned the process into a fun, relaxed, and memorable adventure. Rachel’s advice? Don’t give up. The right dress might be hiding crumpled in a corner, just waiting to be discovered. And never judge a dress by how it looks on or off the hanger—it might surprise you.

A Wedding to Remember

Photographing Fi and Rachel's wedding was an absolute joy. Their fearless creativity, playful spirit, and deep love for each other made it an unforgettable event. Seeing their wedding featured in British Vogue is a testament to the magic they created—and I’m so proud to have been part of it.
