Indigo Images is London based, providing reportage wedding photography across the UK and overseas. We are a collective of documentary photographers, filmmakers and visual artists.
Our mission is to capture the originality, emotion and narrative of the special day, with a documentary approach. We pride ourselves on our fresh, personal and intimate approach. The free-style approach is influenced by a documentary photography, rather than set-up or ‘posed’ approaches to wedding photography. We capture the key moments of the day in an unobtrusive and stylish way, looking for moments that are so often missed in wedding photography. We strive to provide all the intimacy, humour, friendship and personality of the couple, the guests and the day. When we shoot we are a quiet group, with a specialism that is photographing people and their interaction.
We offer a range of services from beautiful bespoke wedding albums, picture frames and pre-wedding shoots. The team will arrive at least 2 hours before the wedding ceremony to capture the bride and groom’s preparations. We shoot throughout the day, at all the key moments and well on into the mid-evening activities.
Each album is individually designed to the couple and the wedding. We do not use design templates to display the pictures. No two wedding albums are designed the same. Couples get beautiful, stylish albums that last for years and years. All the albums are square, simple, leather albums featuring rich, beautifully printed photography. Ryo Ishikawa (Creative Director)
Ryo Ishikawa is the Creative Director of Indigo Images. After graduating with a BA(Hons) degree in photography from Nottingham Trent University, Ryo trained and worked as an advertising and fashion photographer in London and around Europe where he gained a deep understanding of light and using it to his advantage on people and its surroundings.
Combining this with his interest in street photography and his love of natural, documentary-based imagery led him towards pursuing wedding photography under the guidance of John Nassari, an Olympus Visionary and one of the leading reportage wedding photographers in the country.
Working with John for over 6 years, Ryo developed a sense for capturing those fleeting moments often missed by other photographers with a keen eye for details and emotion.
Passionate about wedding and event photography, Ryo strives to deliver candid photography with elegance and intimacy.
